A Few Final Notes

It is really important to note and, when you read some of the customer reviews I don’t think they understand this, just because the stated range of a given laser measure is 50 meters or 100 meters, it is not expected that you will always be able to use this range. The range should be used as an indication of the strength of the laser. Devices with a shorter stated measuring range should be considered to be suited to indoor use. Longer range means a stronger laser and better suited for taking outdoor measurements.

Let’s face it, the majority of us are hard pressed to see any small object at a distance of 100m. Targeting a spot to aim a laser at is going to be a difficult ask. There are ways of capturing that longer distance but it may take some calculation to get it done.

The fact is, you’re no chance with a tape measure, if you can source one that is that long anyway. And you’re particularly no chance if you’re on your own with a tape measure.

If you’re after laser distance measures for use on outdoor projects take a look at our List of 100m Laser Distance Measures.
